I have wanted laos food for a little while now. The wife and I were out running errands and stopped in for lunch at this place. It was delicious, great portions, (we even had extra to bring home) everything tasted fresh and was satisfying. We had chicken larb, laos sausage, papaya salad, sticky rice, egg rolls, spring rolls and beef pho We will definitely be back. (If you are allergic to shellfish please let them know while ordering.)

If you're looking for Lao food, this place does it really well. Sticky rice, sausage, and a well thought out menu. When I came in, the sticky rice wasn't ready so I had to wait between 20 and 25 minutes for my food (the waitress let me know before I ordered) if it wasn't for that, it would've been a perfect experience. I liked the food a lot and see myself coming back here again.

Food is good but not worth visiting the area. Let’s face it, Broadway around 7th isn’t the best spot. I am glad people support this business, and Lao’s Kitchen does have an eat in area with a lot of authentic items. However, the person taking orders is a feisty oneβ€”I want customer service with a smile not an attitude like it’s a privilege to be waited upon. Also, have an online menu. And throw in a menu when you pick up a food order. Ordering shouldn’t be such a complicated, stressful endeavor. Take down or have taken down old photos from six years ago showing items that are no longer available. And no, β€œgo to Facebook” is lazy; not all of us have a Facebook. Until this place gets its act together, I have other choices.

so, I've been coming here since about 2018 I think. and let me tell you... it is my FAVORITE RESTAURANT EVER. the food is excellent, every dish I've had is amazing bit my repeat order (even the workers memorized my order because I get it so much) is larb kai with seen savnh (both pictured), sticky rice, and thai iced coffee. I cannot recommend this place enough, the prices are reasonable, the taste is otherworldly, and the selection is small but makes for only the freshest of food (I've burnt my mouth at times from the freshness, and my own eagerness!) the staff is very friendly, it makes the environment almost feel homey. I could eat from here everyday and not get tired. thank you, Laos kitchen! you have amazing food!

A hidden gem in Rockford that everyone should be made aware of. Disregard the few negative reviews, each meal is made with the best ingredients and the house made sauces are top tier. The crab Rangoon are absolutely addictive , and the egg rolls have the perfect outside crunch that you won’t find anywhere in town, happy wok couldn’t top it. If you haven’t been here yet then you really are sleeping on this place and should go check it out for yourself to see what your taste buds are missing .
